HER FUTURE COALITION

The mission of Her Future Coalition is to provide shelter, education and employment to survivors of human trafficking and extreme abuse, so they can become and remain free forever. HFC engages in long term, intensive interventions with the goal of financial independence.   Our programs give survivors the tools to overcome tremendous stigma and to advance far above the poverty line, transforming their identity and social status.

THE FREEDOM STORY

The Freedom Story was born from a documentary film called The SOLD Project. When founder, Rachel Sparks learned about child sexual exploitation in Thailand, she decided to expose it through the power of film. After interviewing dozens of sex workers, common themes became apparent: poverty, a lack of education, and a lack of options. Rachel responded by providing a scholarship to an at-risk student, and The Freedom Story was born.

EKTARA

EKTARA  enables the integration of mInortiy slum-dwelling communities in Kolkata through holistic education of the girl child.

88 BIKES

The 88bikes Foundation endows bicycles to girls throughout the world, especially the heroic survivors of human trafficking. The highlight of each endowment is the "Moment of Happy" when every girl at the ashram or shelter receives her new bike. We partner with vetted, locally-run NGOs, purchase bicycles from local vendors, hire local labor and connect each survivor one-to-one with her donor.
